Learning disorders are important to understand if you work with children or young people in education or through other linked services. Learning disorders do not mean that children and young being cannot aspire to meet their highest potential. Study this course to learn about how learning disorders involve academic skill, how they are split into disorders of reading, written expression, and mathematics in the DSM, or specific disorders of reading, spelling, and arithmetic in the ICD. They relate to specific areas of academic achievement.
