Emotions & Attitudes in Counselling Practice

Duration: 3 hours

We all have emotions, but often we cannot explain them. Emotions are generally described as our natural, instinctive state of mind, derived from our mood, circumstances or relationships with others. In this course, you will consider the physiological, cognitive, and behavioural components of emotions. You will also work through a variety of approaches to attitudes, including Heider's Balance Theory, the assimilation and contrast theory, and the accentuation theory.
