Deciduous Trees: Oaks (Quercus)

Quercus spp. (Oak) are mainly tall semi-deciduous and deciduous trees for temperate climates, some are evergreen, and a few can be grown in warmer climates. Most (not all) occur naturally in the northern hemisphere. Some are valuable for their timber. Many have attractive autumn foliage. Some oak species are prized for their timber. They are popular as a summer shade tree, and for autumn displays. In this course you will learn to develop your knowledge in classification, identification and culture of plants, from the genus Quercus.
